NY Day 7 - Sep 11
We visited Ground Zero on the 5th anniversary of the September 11th bombings of the World Trade Center Towers.
Flags were flown half-mast to commemorate the tragedy that took place 5 years ago.

The atmosphere was silent and sombre when we got there, as if an almost visible spell of stillness was cast upon the entire field of crowd. People were gathered in small groups either as families of victims mourning their loss or as observers watching the ongoings. There were lots of policemen, protestors, members of the media and people like us who were there just to be see what would happen.
